98 blazer speedometer and ODOMETER problem

i have a 98 blazer and my speedometer and odometer doesnt work. i tired every thing to my knowledge from changing the speed sensor and checking the cable of the sensor dont know what it could be .i been drive like this since i bought the car and dont want to take it to a mechanic because they charge alot and right now cant afford it with school and everthing

could it be the transmission or the computer of the car?


please help any ideas

You need to get it on a engine /transmission capable scanner and check for codes and speed sensor signal getting to the computer.
If any codes post back codes.

If a good speed sensor signal in the computer you will need to check wiring to and odometer/speedometer.

Sometimes unplugging and plugging the speedometer back up will help.
