Didn't hit the tour, but I've seen videos of them playing recently, and he did a pretty good job. He's obviously not Layne, but he does a decent job.

Re: alice in chains/ velvet revolver

I saw Alice in Chians at the end of last october, and it was incredible. I was impressed with how well William DuVall (the new singer) did.

Re: alice in chains/ velvet revolver

Had a great time last week.

A guy, I cannot for the life of me think of the band he's from, black guy with parted in the middle corn rows came out to sing man in the box.

I'm pretty sure I saw the new lead singer and this other guy in the pisser, which seemed strange, but then again anything's possible. I may have been mistaken and had to take a leak too bad to pay closer attention.

VR did awesome, and it was freaking sweet to see Slash live for the first time in my life. Plus, b/w VR, STP, and GNR, you basically get 3 bands in one. What more could you ask for. They did an awesome 3-5 song set of slow songs, one being Patience.

Then did the typical leave the stage and come back to play 5+ more songs. First song was Mr. Brownstone. Scott did a great job covering GNR songs.

Great show, go check it out if you get a chance.
