1994 Contintntal what is the rubber holes that connect to the Engine

I was driving my car and it wont not go pass 40 MPH and the Engine working extra hard............One day It cut off on me and I notice a rubber hole pop-off......I reconnected the holes and got a jump and it was coming on.............Now It wont even come on when I get a jump...........

But what the name of that rubber holes that connects to a metal bar onthe engine and at the bottom

Seriously.. sounds like a blocked exhaust system. Might be badly clogged Cats, or maybe you squished the pipes somehow?

As for the rubber hose, wow! that's a mouthful.. do you have a digital camera you can use for that one?
