A/C not blowing cold air

Not too long ago my a/c started blowing hot air....before this it blew cold just that the switch wouldnt work properly and the a/c would turn on when it wanted to but that im sure is the switch itself unless someone thinks otherwise, then please let me know....but my question is if my compressor isnt working could there still be something else wrong even after replacing it?

You could be low on R134A. Have the pressures checked.
