Re: camaro or gtp?

Guess it depends on what you're using it for, but i'd go GTP. I've always been a fan of Pontiac vehicle's styling and, while its a sweet car, i've never been a fan of the Camaro's styling (i'd rather have a Firebird). GTP will be more of a useful DD.

Re: camaro or gtp?

either way you look at it they still come from the same manufacturer and possibly have the same frame and suspension all your paying for is the body and supercharger
heres a better car

Re: camaro or gtp?

If i ever wanted an automatic in a car then my only selection would be a GTP, that's for sure. The only problem with the GTP is torque steer since it is front wheel drive. And it is already supercharged so modding the engine further doesn't help the cause. There are some things you can do to increase the ponies though like ecm upgrade, upgraded rocker arms, modifying exhaust components to name a few. Cost of ownership will probably rise some. Modifying the engine in a lot of cases requires upgrading to premium fuel. However, selling the Camaro and getting the GTP, then you will have a good amount of cash left for effective mods, whether it be engine or suspension. Or you could just take care of required maintenence.
