have your dream car drawn by me for you to buy!

UPDATE: After much deliberation I have decided that this site will be just for showing my work as I practice to get better. If you want to buy one, that's great but just take a look. It doesn't matter.

No offence, and i dont want to be a jerk or be mean or anything, but you might want to improve your drawing skill a bit more before you try and market your drawings on here. We are all artists on the sketching and drawing section, well, except from a few browsers, so if we wanted a car drawn, most of the people on here would do it themselves.

The work is good, but a few things could be improved.

He's British, lives in England, the place where English was invented.
That's how "offence" is really spelt.

Cool. Nice way to start. I would suggest however to keep sketching and to put more practice into it. It will help you in your goal. There's alot of amazing artists out there, and it takes alot of time and effort to be able to reach a point were you can sell them to public. If you want to start, check out cafepress.com, see if they sell...I would also suggest to shut down your tripod website as it closes alot of doors for you. Each time a visitor goes on your web pages, alot of pop-ups and publicity occur. it is not pleasant to viewers and does alot of damage to your ''store's'' visibility, but thats just my point of view.
Have fun !

Sorry if I have errors in my text, I'm mostly french !

Re: have your dream car drawn by me for you to buy!

I think you lost the board on the first few posts, but that is just my opinion. I sensed some hostility. Anyway, I just wanted to commend you on your reflections and marker techniques, but in order to sell your work on a site like this, you need to hone your perspective skills. It looks like you freehanded your wheels and rims. You might take interest in using some ellipses and some geometry to get your rims looking more symmetric. I would however love to have the skills that you do as far as coloring. Maybe you could get paid to color my drawings. ;-) Check them out: http://www.geocities.com/onemodelcitizen

Thank you for the kind words...yeah I did not like the way that the first two posters approached their comments. Yea I need to use my ellipses more i'm really trying...I just graduated from college in Art Ed and I am struggling to find a job in the schools but I am teaching a drawin and sketching class at an arts and crafts store and I work at an after school art program too. I'm just trying to make my mark in the world. All the while trying to work on my own art. I appreciate the encouragement about the coloring. I've sold one drawing already which is encouraging too. Possibly another one in the works...I am going to practice a lot this weekend with rulers and ellipses.

Re: have your dream car drawn by me for you to buy!

First of all, this is a public forum, so not everyone will give you the cherry on top in the beginning. Everyone has their own opinion about it, and simply, what Chris said is partially correct.
You need to improve a bit more on your dimensions and angle before selling them to people in here, your coloring is okay, there's a bit more room to improve but you're on the right track. Most of us are either car designers or draw cars equally or better than you. No offense, but your drawings are good, but not enough to move people into buying it from you. Try practicing a bit more until you feel it's awesome and original to be sold. Plus, don't use existing pictures from other people or companies for they will sue you for infringement for using their pictures for profit. Just because you graduated from a Art major doesn't necessarily make you the best. It's good that you're trying to find a place for you out in the world, but take it slowly. Art can't be rushed. It's a learning process.

I never said I was the best. I do understand this is a public forum. Ihave thought a lot about what everyone has said. I do not copy pictures, but you are right about using certain brands, companies.

Im by no means taking back what I said. even if I kinda just agreed with nicecar. But I took huge offence to ur post. This isn't the home shopping network. its a community of artists. No one wants to buy ur drawings. I also can appriciate where ur coming from . U are so proud of ur artwork and u should be. Its not bad its rather good. But 2 sell it here is like tryin to sell hamburgers to Ronald McDonald.

Re: have your dream car drawn by me for you to buy!

I'm going to be my usual honest and perhaps blunt self; I have to say I'm not too impressed by the stuff you show on your site. Add to that your intent to pull in business and sell to a forum that has some great illustrators as members in and it is almost insulting to their level of skill.

For the record, I am not an artist.
Never liked that title.
