1993 Villager electronic speedometer & cruise control failure

Anyone have their electronic dash fail...but only the cruise and the speedometer?? Any help appreciated. I checked the fuses...all okay. Has 133K miles; great maintenance followed. All other electronics seem to work fine. Again: no cruise, no speedometer. Thank you.

more likely the vehicle speed sensor, located top rear on transaxle, check connections. may need to be replaced

Thanks for the information; I will try to find said speed sensor. If you could send any other info, insofar as what it looks like (shape, material it is made of) and more precise location it would be greatly appreciated. Is it bolted on, screwed on, or held in place by clips? Thanks again, very much!

here's what you do:
raise the hood, stand over on the driver side fender looking down between the area to the right of the intake tubing and the left of the fuel filter, look deeper and you'll see the starter, now look to the right and deeper from the starter and toward the rear of the engine; you'll see a cylindrical piece sticking up from the transaxle with a wire harness going to it( the top end has a white plastic cylindrical part that has "teeth" to it)---this is the VSS.

BTW, you may want to invest in a Haynes Repair Manual; it will help you tremendously.
