Hi, I just bought a 2002 ES300. Trust me, it is a tight car. I paid around $39,000 including taxes, tags and the necessary fees. The car resembles the new camry, but the interior is a whole new story. I got black leather interior and it is sweet. I got the DVD navigation system in mine but it was hard to get. It's one of those rare commodities so you'll be lucky if you can find a 2002 ES300 with the navigation already in it. Plus, the dealer won't install one in yours if you want one. They would probably tell you that they don't want to be liable for any damages or if something goes wrong with it. But if you don't want the Navigation system, you should have no worries about finding one that you like.
The car, like all Lexus', are really really smooth. I have to turn up the volume just so I wouldn't fall asleep.
The only problem i've ever experienced with the car is that window felt that keeps rain and water from getting into the car. It wasn't anything and they fixed it there too.
