95 Mustang idles too fast after tuneup

I have a '95 Mustang V-6 with 130,000 miles. I just got the car back after a major tuneup (new fuel injectors, spark plugs, coolant flush, transmission fluid change, etc) and now the car idles too fast. Normal idle is about 850 rpm - now it idles at 1300-1500. The "mechanic" says that the idle is computer controlled and that "maybe the car is acting like it should, now that it has all new stuff." That's ridiculous! I know my car very well - I'm the only owner.

Any advice as to how to get the idle back to where it should be? Thanks!

Roger

You're right that is ridiculous, and you let this person repair your car ? I would bet on a vacuum leak, check for dissconnected and or broken hoses around the intake manifold.
