03 Neon, engine code P0340

My engine light came on so I took it to AutoZone and they checked and came back with a P0340 code, camshaft sensor. My question is how hard is it to change? I went to the Autozone site but they don't have a repair manual online for that car. Can anybody tell me where the sensor is located and what I need to do to change it?

On the first gen neon it's on the driver's side of the head close to the top. Held in by (4) 10 mm bolts.

I would imagine it would be in the same area for the 2nd gen seeing as they are SOHC engines also.

Any idea how hard it is to change? Do I have to remove anything to get to it?

It's pretty simple, but you may have to move some lines out of the way to get to it. I use a 1/4 socket wrench with a 10mm socket.

Re: 03 Neon, engine code P0340

Thanks for the help. I was able to get it done without too much trouble. It was hard to get to but it only took about 30 minutes to do.

thanks again
