Drive Train Problem!!!! NEED HELP

OK so i am driving my car around (i have a 92 vr4) and i noticed that the car would shift fine throughout all the gears all the way to redline, but when i got on it in any gear it would make a sound like the clutch was slipping. It felt like somehthing wasnt grabbing right. Si i had a couple people look at it and i came to the conclusion that it was my clutch cuz it was still the original clutch so i replaced it with a spec stage 2+ and lightened fly wheel. When i got my car back i broke it in for about 1000 miles and when i started to get on it, the same sound and feel would happen. It only happens when i really get on it, and does it it every gear as well. What could be the problem?? Could it be my transfer case or rear LSD? I really need to get this problem fixed. Thanks

Re: Drive Train Problem!!!! NEED HELP

Ugh... I went through the same thing but I never figured it out... But as far as I could figure out:

It could be master/slave
It could be a bad rubber hose
It could be an out-of-spec flywheel
It could be air in the clutch line

So in the order of cheapest to most expensive:
bleed the clutch line again
change the hose leaving to the slave cylinder
Change the slave/master cylinder
Change the flywheel back to a OEM one.

If none of that works... Well I think someone here changed out the hard line for the clutch and it "appeared" to work...

A sound like the clutch is slipping? Could you describe that sound?

Re: Drive Train Problem!!!! NEED HELP

ok the sound is kinda like a popping sound and it sometimes sounds like it backfired out the exhaust. I talked to one of my instructers at school (UTI) and they said the check the fuel consumption and things dealing with the fuel control. I guesse you could say that i feels like the car is bogging out.

Re: Drive Train Problem!!!! NEED HELP

Clutches don't make sounds unless something is really physically broken on it. Sounds like you need to change your plugs.

Re: Drive Train Problem!!!! NEED HELP

ok sounds good i will definately try that if i just buy new plugs what should i gap them too. should i just gap them a little smaller than the regular spec. cuz i did do the free boost mod to my car recently so that sounds like that could very likely be the problem. thanks for the advice.
