Monte Carlo SS leaks when it rains

For the past couple of weeks I have been working on a "rain leak" issue. Everytime it would rain I would have puddles on the inside of the car. The passenger side was the worst. It could be over 1/2 inch deep after a heavy rain. What I discovered was that the front two sunroof drain tubes were clogged with silt and debris. These two particular tubes drain out on the side of the door frame. I then discovered that there are two drain tubes on the back side of the sunroof which drain out in front of the back tire. Using a thin flexible wire (about 20in. long), with soft nylon bristles on the end, I snaked out all four drain tubes and flushed them with water. This took care of the leak issue. However, at the very front and back of the two doors located at the bottom are small drain holes. I highly recommend that these four holes are snaked as well. They are the drain holes for water that runs down the window in to the door and if it is blocked the water will drain in to the floor pan of the car. If this is happening to you try this and see if it helps.
