i have a 94 bmw 318is and all of the sudden all of the brake lights stopped working. all of the other lights still work. i checked all the bulbs and the fuse and all are good. could anyone help me

It's either a broken switch (sorry, I don't know where it is on your car) or the wire (probably still around the switch area) that is not conducting electricity. If all 3 of the lights stopped working at once, I find these two the most likely suspects. I'd locate a switch and run a wire from it to some bulb (control lamp) that you are certain is working. Push the pedal. If the bulb ligts up, the problem is with the wire(s) going from the switch to the lights. If the bulb doesn't light up, I'd try connecting the wire to the other end (electrically speaking) of the switch and see what happens. If it lights up then, it's the switch, if it doesn't - the current is lost on the way to the switch. Good luck.
