93 emissions connector?

Hello,

I have a 93 DLX shortbed with a 22re motor. I can not figure out where one of the connectors goes to.It is located on the top of the engine, bundled with the other connectors that go to obvios components. It is grey in color and has a brown and green wire leads,2 pin connector.I for the life of me cannot find where it goes or if a component is missing to which it plugs into. The truck will not pass the good ole E-check program we have here.It fails the Hydrocarbons portion of the test. Can anyone help???
Thank you in advance

Re: 93 emissions connector?

I have a 93 2wd, my truck has the same connector not hooked to anythinge, according to the wiring digram it goes to the EGR system. My truck's EGR system is vaccum controled only. will not show on the check light. Try checking your EGR valve. the vacum chamber could be bad or the line that comes off your eGR modulator could be pluged at the eGR valve connection.
Don't know if this will help you but this was ONE of the promlems I had.
