Add-ons to stock unit

The dealership here in San Antonio wants $700+ for the 10-disc CD changer that goes along with the '95 G20 OE stereo. There's gotta be some changer I can add plus a 12" sub and an amp all for that price. I know that it's made by Sony. Anyone have the CD changer and can tell me the model number? I'll try to find it at Circuit City and Best Buy this weekend. As for the rest of the stuff(12" sub and amp), any suggestions?

You gotta try eBay sometime.

They always have Nissan/Infiniti CD changers. NEW and USED. Mostly NEW. And a hell of a lot cheaper than dealers. All of them are OEM Nissan upgrades. (Usually manufactured by Panasonic or Clarion)

They also have a OEM Stock in-dash 6 disc changer for Nissan/Infiniti on there. AWESOME! Check it out:

I do not know if it works with the '95 G20 though.

BTW, what speakers are the best replacements(front and back) without having to get a new amp? I just blew couple of them last night and I need to have some idea of what's out there. Any recommendations?

A guy I talked to said it shouldn't be any problem putting in 6.5s in both front and rear. Has anyone done this yet?

Howard, the easiest thing (IMO....) to fix all this at once is..

GET A NEW UNIT.
A new unit will save you trouble of having to order O.E. stuff that will fit to get a nice system........

New units come with a built in amp (Most of em), that way it bridges with the current amp in the car (its like 50 watt amp built in) - and pumps almost 75 to 100 watts per speakers. Then, your car can handle any speaker in the front/back.

The stock O.E. unit clunked out when i got new rear speakers... Might have been installer or something. DAMN YOU BEST BUY.

-Phil

P.S. Hows the intake working for you?

It's just great. The car feels and drives with more life now. All I need to do now is change the O2 sensor and the muffler and then WATCH OUT!!!! As for the stereo, I'll just get the speakers for now cause I don't have the cash for everything at once.
