Re: which projectors look better?
they are all side by side...if you are looking at ebay, the sellers a retarded and dont know which way is up. The only difference possible is whether the projectors are the low beams or the high beams.

Re: which projectors look better?
IMHO DEPO's Best fitment from what Ive heard.
I have the crappy dual halo ones and fitment is horrible. Halo is dim until you put in good LED's instead of the crappy incandescents that come with it. |

Re: which projectors look better?
That is what a 12000K HID kit will do for any car...the only bad part about it is that it makes people think your car is fast......sadly, bright lights dont give you any HP.

Re: which projectors look better?
I get the finger alot from cars in front of me, and almost everyone flashes their brights to let me know my lights are on...as if i was unaware they are bright...

Re: which projectors look better?
yeah, mine were setup so that the projector was the high beam. I didnt like that idea too much, so when I put my HID kit in I wired the ballasts into the low beams so that when my low beams are on, both my high (projectors with HID) and low beams come on....wicked bright

Re: which projectors look better?
well, If HID's were illegal then all of the luxury auto makers would go out of business because nearly every new car nowadays has an option for HID lights. Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, Range Rover, Toyota, Nissan....almost everyone runs HID's. NOW, there is a regulation on the temperature you can run. And I believe in most states the legal limit is supposed to be 8000K. However, if you get a real brand name HID kit, an 8000K kit will look much brighter than an off brand with the same temp. Mine may say they are 12000K, but they are probably more like 10000K...which dont get me wrong, is still bright as shit, but not quite as blue as a true 12000K kit should be. As for them melting the housing....i've been running mine for about a year and a half with absolutely no problems so I really doubt it could happen. Also, they draw less power than a standard halogen bulb, so you dont have to worry about frying wires or electronics...they also dont dim if you blast your stereo.

Quote:
Well, for Halogen bulbs, Sylvania Silverstars or their new Silverstar Ultra or whatever are really nice, however they have a pretty short life due to their higher operating temp. I probably only got about...150-200 hours out of them before one burnt out, and then the other went shortly after...they also arent THAT cheap...I think like 50 bucks or so for a pair. Hell, I bought my HID kit on ebay for about 230 I think...may have been under 200, dont remember, it was a while ago. Plus, HID's last forever almost so it's an investment worth making. An HID kit on a stock headlight assembly would look fine, but running them through a projector lens really sets them off, and from the front you would have no idea that the car is what it is because they make it look much more exotic...nothing makes people wanna race you more than hella bright lights (except maybe a fartcan or shitty body kit with a park bench spoiler)
