transmission pan gasket

I plan on removing the transmission pan to change the fluid out. Do I need to get a new gasket for this. If so, do I also need to use RTV sealant?

thanks,

-Jeff

Re: transmission pan gasket

You should be able to re-use the gasket, they are designed to be re-used and will work fine unless somehow damaged.

Re: transmission pan gasket

the gasket is a plastic/rubber compound. 7-8ft lbs of torque max or else you will smash the gasket. Finger tight all the bolts first evenly.
