91 300zx TT, some questions

hey guys, im new to the world of Zs. I've been doing a great deal of research since i stumbled across a 91 twin turbo in the autotrader while looking for a C4 vette. its got 70k miles, its apparently a collectors addition, its white, t-tops, and 5spd. the blue book on it is $12k and hes asking $13,900. is this reasonable because of the collectors value of it or something? thanks a lot.

That sounds high to me, especially since it's a 91. What about it does he say makes it a collector's edition? Just being a '91 (even a '91 Twin Turbo) doesn't do so, save for the fact that the 90-96 300ZX's were the last made (prior to the release of the 350Z in 2003). In any case, the condition would have to be beyond perfect for it to be worth anything close to that. My advise: if you want one like it, check on E-bay. You should be able to find one for much cheaper that's in equal condition. In any case, take one thing to heart: the condition in which the car is kept is far more important than the mileage.

I hope that helped some.

P.S. I just got on Autotrader and did a search for a '90 - '92 300ZX for under $12k. Got one with only 35k miles here in my own town (and OK is a *bad* place for finding cars, generally speaking) so you shouldn't have trouble finding something better. Just be a bit patient when looking for cars and you'll find a great deal.

Thanks Jeff. Ya, I've done a lot of searching since yesterday and have found deals much better than that. But I'm still wondering what a reasonable price for a twin turbo 91-95 (91,2, or 3) low miles (60000), 5spd, fully loaded would be.

Honestly, I'm not in the know enough about the Z32 (90-96 model Z) to give you a finite price range. Hopefully someone else on here that is will post for ya.

91 300zx tt

My '91 300ZX TT has 15,000 summer / adult milesemotionally I'd want $25000 but realisticly it's worth 15-16000

After you check the obviuse body damage make sure you check the lower door sill and front spoiler for curb damage as well as the wheels. these things are very low. check the mintenaince records the timing belt w/water pump should be done around 50-60,000 miles. i'll check my manual if you need the exact miles for the service. It should cost $500 at a dealer for this
