I think the XTerra is one of the best looking suv's on the market. That doesn't change the fact that they are impractical though.

The "drive it like you stole it" ought to tell you why he thinks it is impractical. The Xterra wasn't built for him, that's all.

I've had my Xterra for almost a year now and have been able to do more things now than I ever have. Yeah it's an impractical vehicle(for someone who works at a desk and sits at a computer all day, at work and at home). I think it's the ultimate outdoorsmans' vehicle. I've been able to camp in a number of places that I wouldn't have without my Xterra. Sell your hatchback 4 cylinder and try one out. You have no idea what you are talking about.
