How Low Can I Go????
ok im sick of putting this into every post i make. ill just make a whole dang thread about it!
my civic is a 97 ex. it's lowered on dropzone coil overs at 2.5". it sits on 205/40 R17 tires. when i took the car to get it aligned, they told me that they couldn't align it because it was too low and that i desperately needed a camber kit. however, the people who sold me my tires and coils told me i didn't if i didn't drop it any lower. so my question is: with 205/40 R17 tires and coil overs, what is the lowest i can go without needing a camber kit? |

you should have asked the alignment shop this question. i would say anything below 1" will need a camber kit, but this is just a guess.

so 1" is like 1degree right? so technically, could i drop it 2" and just get a 1degree camber kit? then it would imitate the camber of a 1" drop?

It's almost right. A 2" drop for me was 1.5 negative camber front, and 2" drop rear was a 2.2 negative camber rear.
