Question EGR block plate HELP

i just bought a 94 talon with a 1.8L engine the egr valve has been taken off and a block plate is now in place does anyone know anything about this. the car seems that it does not want to take gas very well i have replaced fuel filter, plugs, wires and still doing the same thing thanks for any help at all

all the egr does is just recirculate the unburned fuel. It shouldn't have any effect on how it runs. Might want to make sure your not getting a vac. leak where those plates are.

What do you mean it doesn't want to take gas very well? Acceleration maybe?

Yeh acceleration, when the car is cold (temp gauge below half) it idles ok but when you put it in first and give it some gas it trys to stall out. and when it is warm the car in lower rpms, has hesitation in accelerating. im not sure if it is a sensor or what thanks for the info
