2000 Regal - Backup and license plate lights not working
Was trying to help my grandfather figure out a problem with his 2000 Regal LS last night - He said Rear license plates lights, and light in trunk were not working. We found and replaced 1 bad bulb in license plate light - also replaced the other license plate light, plus the trunk light. Lights still don't work.
Fuse in Passenger side fuse panel is good. - also found out that backup lights are not working. Is there an additional fuse panel location? Can you give me some ideas what to check next? Thanks in advance for any assistance. |

Re: 2000 Regal - Backup and license plate lights not working
Sounds like you might have more than one wire disconnected. Follow the wires and look for a plug that came apart. Sometime under the carpet or under the kick panel.

Re: 2000 Regal - Backup and license plate lights not working
There is a fuse box under the hood on the passenger side. It has a fuse that controls the backup lights and lic plate lights. check and see if that fuse is blown...

Re: 2000 Regal - Backup and license plate lights not working
Hello,
Did you get this problem fixed? I am having a similar but not exact problem with my 2001 LS Regal. I have no backup lights, but all others are fine. Checked the 15a fuse on the passenger side and it was fine. Did you find the fuse under the hood that controls the lbackup lights? Thanks, Mike [email protected] |
