I'm trying to squeeze some more power out of my non-turbo car, i am looking to buy a gsx down the road as a full blown, re-done front to back project car, and i just want to do what i can to my RS to get as much power out of it as i can without having to rebuild my entire engine. I already have a full header to tip exhaust, CAI on the way, new plugs, wires, battery, and im looking to get a new bored TB before i get the intake so i can do that all at once. Besides that im really not sure what to do except the new UDP someone suggested. Anything else, im really not sure where to go... i know a clutch and flywheel will help out, but i dont want to do that quite yet, and i have heard most people say that when they upgrade those it makes shifting stiffer or just different in a bad way, so im trying not to do that for the time being untill i get it all figured out.
Anything else, thats not to major i can look into? -I really dont want to get into nitrous with this car, and i have decided not to turbo it because i want to get a GSX down the road so i would want to save that money for then..... plus its always fun to have something like my RS which is a nice little semi-modded car to fuk around with. Thanks

Re: More Power
Thats pretty much all I would do. You can do some weight reduction, short shifter, and make sure all the maintenance is done.

Re: More Power
Maybe a ported intake manifold? You could always do what David-B did and do a head build. If you need things to do with your RS, just look at David-B's car, he has done pretty much everything you can do to an NT RS/GS.

Also, an OBX or Venon manifold replacement would also be a waste as those are completey smooth on the inside. On a N/T car, you need the roughness of the stocker IM to "shake up" the air a little. Weight reduction would be a good thing to do. What's it, for like every 100lbs you drop off the car you gain 1/10th of a second or something? Something to think about it; is it worth it? Something you may want to do, talking about maintanence is using engine cleaner next time you change your oil, F.I. cleaner in a couple tanks of gas with premium gas. Even pulling the injectors and cleaning them manully. Use some fluids/cleaners that are meant to clean the valves and working components of the engine. Just some stuff that will clean up the crap in the motor/gas/oil that may slow you down a little. Don't do the clutch/flywheel until you actually have to drop your tranny. I needed a clutch, but waited until I blew up the tranny before I replaced it. Unfortunately, I then didn't have money at the time for a lightened flywheel, and had to get a stocker flywheel. My suggestion honestly, since you plan on buying a GSX in a little bit, why not just keep the RS going and running strong, and save your money. Then you can get a GSX in good conidition and have money left over for upgrades/maintinence right away. With that, I think I'm going to write an articlc about this all.
