tranny troubles

I got a 318 '92 Dak auto with o/d. and having troubling going into overdrive. ill end up usually driving 5-10 miles before it shifts into o/d. any idea why it isnt shifting for so long??

You need to get it scanned and see if the engine temp is staying to cold.
