P0171 & P0306
I have a 2000 S10 V6 4.3 4x4 and I have two trouble codes P0171 bank 1 system lean and P0306 6 cyl misfire. It doesn't run too bad except for when it's sitting in idle. Can someone help me out where to start with this problem.

Re: P0171 & P0306
Sometimes the 171 code can mean an O2 sensor, but if you've checked and/or replaced it then it can also be a dirty MAF sensor(mass air flow). It is located in the air duct and can easily be removed and sprayed clean with electrical cleaner. Be careful not to touch the MAF interior.
Hope this helps. |
