Keycard Problem?

Hi all

I have a problem with the ignition system of my Laguna II and hoping someone can give me some help/advice.

Earlier this week the keycard failed to operate the ignition/steering lock, all that happened was the light arund the card and the alarm light in the dah began to flash. I removed the card and put it back in and it was all back to normal.

On Friday night the car decided that removing the card and replacing it wasn't going to work any more.

I can't get an auto electrician out til tuesday and I've been told it is usually the card reader or the solenoid on the steering lock mechanism.

Is there any way to check either of these out?

Hi. I have exactly the same problem and was wondering how you went on with yours.
I even got a new ignition dock but it didn't solve the problem. Could you please let me know if you got the problem fixed.
