Steering wheel yanking 97 sunfire

We recently bought a 97 Sunfire. Love it but when we push on the brakes, the car yanks to the left, hard. The faster we are going when we brake, the more force behind the sudden yanking to the left. It doesn't metter how hard we brake, it does it all the time. Any ideas?

Re: Steering wheel yanking 97 sunfire

I imagine it means you have a serious brake problem with the right front wheel. The wheel jerking to the left would be from the left front brake doing its job, and the right side NOT doing it.
It could be a stuck caliper piston, or a totally worn out brake pad, or a gummed up brake line. It could also be a caliper that was mounted incorrectly, a damaged rotor, or some other problem.
Whatever it is, you need to get it fixed ASAP.
