60th Anniversary Build Finished, Ferrari F430 Spider
I absolutely hated this Revell of Germany Ferrari F430 Spider. It fought me all the way. Just when I thought things were looking good it would rear its ugly head.
Now, I've settled for a shelf model. It will look just fine for my shelf. I need to buy a Fujimi kit. This was built as my Miami Vice Movie car. Paint is Grigio Silverstone Metallic by Cobra Colors. Tamiya interior and basic decals from the sheet. I have to say that what upset me the most was all the work and time I put into sanding mold lines and cleaning the body to only have them pop through the body after I polished the car. Yes, the front sits too high, the wheels seem too small. But, it looks fine on my shelf. Here are the pics I took. I'll get a few outside pics later. Thanks. Chris ![]() ![]() ![]()

Looks good, I've built 2 Fujimi F430's and they didn't fit together as easily as the Tamiya 360...and you can't open the engine bay on the Fujimi

Nice looking build.Despite the problems you had it came out very well and the Grigio Silverstone really suits the car.

You've done an awesome job on it, Chris! I'm reluctant to finish my Revell f430 coupe.

Re: 60th Anniversary Build Finished, Ferrari F430 Spider
Looks cool regardless of problems; seems the biggest issue w/the kit is the front wheels are a bit small and the ride height a bit tall.
Of course I said that last night when looking at a GORGEOUS blue w/white stripes Ford GT GTX1 (the convertible) that showed up at our cruise night! No pics though. It would have been perfect w/a 2" front suspension drop...man, that car was as cool as any Lambo I've ever seen...sorry for the hijack
