Strange noise when i hit bumps....?

when i hit some bumps i hear a loud pop/ clank noise from the rear right side. at first i thought it was the spare tire/ jack bouncing but they are tied down. so im guessing a bent shock? im hopeing not but any info would be great if u know whats causing this noise. thanks.

Investigate before you buy anything.

Re: Strange noise when i hit bumps....?

do a simple hand test.... push down on the car see how it reacts, probably just a bad shock. I know my truck made a horrible metal "clunk" when i hit a bump until i changed the shocks. Not sure how you can bend a stationary shock though

Re: Strange noise when i hit bumps....?

car has 48k miles on it, ive tried pushing down on it. it seams fine. it only makes the noise when i hit either a big enough bump or hit one hard enough and its only the right rear side,
