1989 5spd trans

Me and my buddies are converting my auto into stick and we are having trouble removing the driveshaft

we removed the 4 bolts in the rear towards the differential, and the bolts up front, and we lowered the trans and it wont slide out from the front or back

any help would be appreciated
any help ASAP would be greatly appreciated

Re: 1989 driveshaft

Gotta slide it forward till the rear drops out of the pinion shaft, then slide it aft to get the tailshaft out of the transmission. Use a large screwdriver to pry forward between the U joint and pinion shaft.

Re: 1989 driveshaft

okay, the driveshaft is out.
now, idk if its supposed to be like this, but...

it looks like the bellhousings is slanted to the left, and that means the trans will sit like that, and im not sure at what length i should cut the hole at the center console floor
