Re: always push start

Sounds like you have either an electrical leak ( something constantly draining power non stop until dead ) or you ignition switch maybe no good ? who knows..need more info.

Re: always push start

If it turns over, then there should be nothing wrong with the ignition or any electrical "leaks" or malfuntioning. If it just cranks and cranks before finally firing up, thats a sign of a bad fuel pump. Please give us a little more description of the problem and we can give you a better answer.

Re: always push start

I had this same problem with my last car, 94 Talon, about a year ago. I cant narrow it down to a T for you but these are the things that i changed to solve the problem. Everyone insisted it was the TPS sensor but not having the cash to buy one I beat around the bush and mess around with some cheaper stuff. I changed the temp sensor and the barometric pressure sensor and the problem magically disappeared. (one of the characteristics of my problem was that if it was cold out there was no hope at all.) So, my best guess is that since the pressure sensor and the temp sensor both regulate starting that the sensors were sending faulty cold or hot start signals, or faulty air pressure signals. If not it may be the TPS.
