Why cant I get my PCV out?

1998 2.2. Trying to replace the pcv and in wont budge. Do i just crank on it? Im ofraid of snapping it. Please help! THANKS!

Well I got it out, but now that its out it dont look like a pcv "valve" at all! lol It kinda looks like a pcv valve except with nothing inside? Its right on top of the valve cover. Does my truck not have a pcv valve? Is this thing what it has in place of one? Could someone shed some light on this matter for me? Thanks for your time!
