when should the opera lights be on? I've tried with the headlights on, also with parking lights on to no avail. Also if the bulbs are bad how do I get the light cover off to change bulb?

They should be on when any lites are oin, the trim must be taken off the center pillar to access from the inside. Usually , if I remember, these are powered by a convertor as they are not regular bulbs.
