Changing the belt?
I have a 2003 GC w/3.3L. It dosn't look like there is a lot of room to change the drive belt. Do I need to take off the right front tire and take loose the plastic to change the belt or can it be changed from the top? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Changing the belt?
It's much easier to do from the bottom. Remove the wheel and the plastic under-cover. Then release tension on the tensioner and remove the belt.

Re: Changing the belt?
Okay, then, how do you get it back on? You mentioned releasing the tensioner Is that on a 3.3L? Thanks.

Re: Changing the belt?
Go to the Online Service manual thread, follow the directions, go to the manual for your vehicle and it gives the procedure for replacing the drive belt.

Re: Changing the belt?
I will do just that. I found the manual and will go try the fix. I'll let you know how it goes. THANKS!

Re: Changing the belt?
Rotating the tensioner clockwise sure helped. But I still had to remove the top bolt on the alternator to give myself even more slack. Thanks!
