Re: golf 5 resin kit

Fujimi is releasing the Golf V GTI so with the plastic kit and a transkit you can go even better.....

Awesome news ray, you just made my day. Great news from fujimi, and as far as the w12 transkit. I was also going to ask, seems to me its nice, but it comes with the interior and engine made out of paper. Im not sure who makes it, but none of their kits come with wheels, chasis, and other detail. With the fujimi coming out it will be perfect swap it out with this W12 beast.

Re: golf 5 resin kit

That is one seriously crappy looking transkit

Must have started w/a Welly Golf V diecast. Compare it to the photos of the real car, the bodywork isn't very good. It's too wide, the radii and fillets are terrible. Very amateurish; I suspect we'll see much better work from A/F members when the plastic kit gets released. Would be nice if Fujimi did the work for us

I agree! A very poor representaion, it looks far too wide.

I'm certainly going to preorder one of the Fujimi GTI V kits with a view to having a bash at the W12. Could prove to be a very tricky kit to produce though, particularly with how the glass on the car tucks into the bodywork.

I never left really, just don't bother to post much these days. Im always watching though and still hoping to revive SAS (Its the 5th anniversary soon!). Recently begun work on a Gemballa Mirage GT t/kit (below) and still trying to sort out a suitable caster to produce everything so I can start selling again. No ETA's on any release dates before you ask, just keep on the lookout coz first word will be on AF.

Re: golf 5 resin kit

Nice to see you (back?) FlyOnTheWall.... Mirage Gt.. very interested...
As for the Gulf transkit.. ew?
And the new fujimi gulf... the box pic has 完全新金型 on it...
that somehow suggests metalic plates or diecast body to me...
Haven't been able to find anything about it on the fujimi website though.

That transkit seems to have a paper interior!

Re: golf 5 resin kit

Looks to me like the guy is making them himself and selling them via ebay. Good luck to him but as you guys say, it does look like he needs to put more effort in getting them more correct and provide better interiors.

We could do with more private resin makers.
