Power window

I have a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and the power window in the driver's side is messed up. Windows will not roll up or down but I can still hear and feel the motor moving. I took the panel off and it's not what I have seen before. It has no arm or gears, it has cables that pull the window up and down. Kinda like an elevator. I tried to pull the window all the way up but will not go more than half way up and if i let it go, it will fall to the bottom. I did a test on the motor and what i did was holding on to the window and clicked on down switch, the motor does pull it down. I am guessing that the one of the cable has snapped and it's off the dealership for repair. I don't think I can fix this myself

sounds like a regulator and yes it is something you can do at home there is only a few bolts
