Cobalt CD Player Problems

I have a 2006 Cobalt LT With the factory installed CD player. Sometimes when I start the car, the display on the player remains blank. Sometimes it comes back on while I'm driving and sometimes not. Sometimes it's working fine then the display will go off while I'm driving. Sometimes a bunch of meaningless characters will start scrolling in the display. The cd player and radio continue working while this is happening, but it's annoying to have the display blank or showing garbage.

Re: Cobalt CD Player Problems

Are you still under 36Kmi? If so, have a dealer install a reman'd OEM head-unit for you. Sounds like something is funky in that head-unit.
