Question 95 Ford

My 95 F150 will not start about every 2 or 3 weeks, jump it off and it works runs fine for another 2 or 3. This has been going on for about 3 months and now my blinkers do not work(just started). When you pull back on the blinker switch to flash the lights the truck tries to go dead and then the check engine light flash and the RPM's go up about 2000 more than what it idles at. Can someone help me.

Re: 95 Ford

Sounds like maybe 2 problems. Is your battery going dead or will it crank ? Also sounds like you have a short in the turn signal switch.

Re: 95 Ford

It does sound like you have some demons to take care of! I would first check your PCM grounds. Sometimes the PCM will share a ground with something else like a light or switch and when they get corroded, they cause all sorts of trouble. Also, the multi-function (turn signal) switch is plagued with problems so it won't be a bad idea to replace it. Hope this helps.
