Jag oil filter

My wife took her 05 in for some warranty work and they told her it was due for service and they would do it while it was there. I had just changed the oil and filter the week before (7 qts of Mobil 1 wasted!). I have always used Motercraft filters but the service manager told me I should use only Jag filters because they had a special valve in them. Anyone know what the difference is besides probably $10!?

Re: Jag oil filter

He's probably talking about the anti-drainback valve, which I believe the Motorcraft has. I've taken my car to the dealer with either Motorcraft and Pure1 filters on it. Dealer never said a word about them.
