on to a darker side (pics)

welp, even after swapping in a rebuilt head the ol civic was still using over a quart of oil per tank. it was blowing right through and blackening the hatch. messy and stank. i didnt want to go any deeper in the motor and i wanted to get something with a little more go power.

found this just a few miles from my house so i checked it out, drove it, then drove home in it with no more civic
eff it, its fast enough and four wheel steering is cool
2.2 turbo feels good when it kicks in around 3k rpm.

it was one of the nicer ones left in this part of the rustbelt. sorry man. im sure you could find a cleaner one in florida. it was starting to rust around in the rockers, doors, and rear wheel wells.

the honda was a much tidier car than the mazda. but the mazda has 190 ft./lbs. stock and it feels like it.

yes, works like the prelude. its speed sensitive. works like skateboard steering when under a certain speed and switches to steer with the fronts when over that speed. works slick too.

as for the 12v, yes its old tech but with a turbo even old tech can be fast.

actually a more accurate way of putting it would be to say a ford probe is a mazda mx-6. this one i have was made in japan. i think all the 4ws ones came from japan. the probes were built in michigan on the mazda platform.

just busting your b@llz man. That thing is mint. My brother use to have a non-turbo automatic one, and that thing was still pretty quick.

Re: on to a darker side

its kewl, i dont really give a damn. i actually think its a pretty boring looking car. reminds me of a early 90's two door accord. nothing remarkable. which is good. it surprises people that much more when it takes off!
