New, bigger Pilot tires?
Anyone swapped out for a larger SUV tire? I'm looking at a 245 or 255 SUV tire (Dueller or Scorpian).
Questions are (1)will a 245/255 fit and (2)can the Pilot suspension handle a tire that is 10 to 13 pounds heavier? Current tires are 27lb each and new are 36-40lb. My 2007 Pilot came with a sad set of GoodYear Integrity car tires - 235/70 R16. These tires are scary on wet roads. Thanks |

Re: New, bigger Pilot tires?
www.tires.com would tell you what size tires will fit your vehicle.

Re: New, bigger Pilot tires?
I just picked up a 2004 Pilot and have been debating the same thing, what size to go with. Luckily my 235x70x16 are truck tires. If you go to www.1010tire.com they have a size calculation tool there that shows the percentage difference from your original size to the ones you want to go to. I believe rule of thumb is no more than 5% difference. It will also show you the difference in the speedometer readings.
Good luck!!!
