2005 Sonata accelerating on its own.....

My 2005 Sonata, at times accelerates on its own. Recently, once backing out of a parking spot. Again driving in a 25mph zone, it kicked in and accellerated to 45 mph, till I applied the brake. And once sitting at a red light, when I went to go. Anybody else experiencing this type of problem.

Check the recalls for this vehicle. It's a bit new to be having issues like that.
If there's a recall, the dealer won't charge you.

There are a variety of things that could be causing the symptoms you described.

I had the same problem and have replace the output speed sensor and no longer have that problem.
