has anyone had any experience with Auto RX Engine Cleaner
Hello,
When I first Changed my oil when I bought my XJ, it was pretty gunky, I wanted to run a cleaner through to see if there was blockage. If anyone has used AUTO RX Engine cleaner, let me know what your results were like. Thanks |

Scratch that idea imho...
Tested and proven to work is SEAFOAM. I searched quite a bit and found this to be the most voted for. You can get it at most auto parts stores. Search it for yourself. (might be a space between the words..?) |

Seafoam works wonders on cleaning the oil system. But one thing you want to keep in mind if you're going to do something like that is there's alot of times that by running a cleaner through and flushing the system whether it be oil, antifreeze, or tranny the cleaner will get alot of the gunk but there will be some left and after you fill it back up it runs the risk of coming free and floating through the system and possible blockages happens alot with tranny's. What I would do is use an oil additive that you put in after filling it back up to help clean the oil system and break up gunk so that it does it while flowing so has less chance of causing blockages.
