Manual Window Track

When I got my car the driver's window was off track. Is there some way to fix this problem, or do I just have to keep manually pushing it into place to completely close it?

Re: Manual Window Track

I think all Metros develop this problem eventually. Mine has been this way since I got it. Since it is primarily a winter car I haven't fixed it but there are 80-degree-plus days when I really wish it were fixed.
User "Crvette69", who seems to know all about these cars and has a bunch of parts and stuff, told me that it should be fixable by taking it apart and bending the guides back into shape, so "one of these days" I plan to do that. I guess I will try to reinforce/re-engineer it at that time.
The alternative would be expensive (if even available) new parts.
I think all the junkyards sold out Geo Metro driver's window parts long ago.

Re: Manual Window Track

You can try this fix http://www.teamswift.net/viewtopic.php?t=17205 or you might consider getting a new window regulator from these folks http://suzukicarparts.com/?gclid=CM7...FRAjhgodF2RszA I'd suggest calling them to make sure parts are compatible before you buy but I think they would be.
