this was pretty random. dont think its the cps. thought it was the fuel pump at first, but then we noticed something. the voltage, fuel, oil pressure, and temp are not reading when the key is in the on position. after a couple of minutes in the on position the check engine light comes on and the mileage reads "no bus". guess its either the computer or something to do with the computer. i will let everyone know when i find out more about it. in the mean time, give me your opinions.

Re: NO START (no bus)
my vote is for your cps and i have proof! when the pcm comes on it checks the conditions of all the sensors. if any aren't up to snuff you will get a no bus. now the fact that you have a no bus with no start is resulting from the fact that the pcm is checking the cps. when it checks the cps and finds it is a dud the pcm will not energize the asd relay which in turn energizes the injectors and the fuel pump relay. the link below is from a different forum with two people that had the same problem. cps fixed it. click on the link and there is also a link in the link with another similiar situation. mike

Re: NO START (no bus)
i was at my friends shop this morning with it and we were tracing down everything trying to find a bad ground, etc. no fuel pressure, no spark, everything was getting power. turned out the CPS is bad and causing the computer not to communicate to anything else.
BINGO!!!! good job another one gets bit by the CPS bug |
