93 bonneville se stall issues

Car ran fine and suddenly stalls out. Doesn't want to start and when it does it stalls immediately. Changed plugs and wires, fuel filter, oil and filter. Once the car gets started it begins to run rough and won't stay running. Checked the fuel pump and it works. Cleaned throttle body and egr valve. Has no engine light on and no codes when plugged into a diagnostic. Haven't checked fuel pressure. Could it be the mass airflow sensor, fuel pressure regulator?

Welcome to AF!!

Change the crank position sensor on you car and it should cure the problem. The problems you are experiencing are the classic signs of one going bad and they will not throw a code until the completely die.

One other thing check and make sure the security light is not coming on when this happens could be an issue with the Pass Lock system too.

Re: 93 bonneville se stall issues

we changed the crank sensor as you suggested and the car still runs bad. Also tried the iac valve. When car runs it backfires and runs rough still, could the timing have jumped a tooth? It also makes a 'wooshing' noise just before it stalls out. any other suggestions would be helpful.
