Multi Disk CD Player

I have a 2000 XK8 with the factory CD changer/player mounted in the trunk. The other day I got a no disk message on the radio display, even though there were several disks installed in the cartridge. Took out all the disk and put new CD’s in the cartridge that I knew were good CD’s and still have the same problem. Is my changer bad? Any thoughts or help would be welcomed.

Thank,

Re: Multi Disk CD Player

The changer needs to be replaced. It can no longer read discs.

Thanks…that’s what I was afraid of. Do you have an idea of the cost of a changer?

Re: Multi Disk CD Player

A remanufactured one from the dealer is about $360, but they're not always available. A new one is about $550.
