Rodrigo y Gabriela

remember the post about that indie-musician, Andy McKee? and his video called Drifting? How he'd play an acoustic while he plays precussion on his guitar? Yeah, that was amateur work compared to these guys. [/edit] This duo from Mexico City is phenomenal. They were in a thrash metal band called Tierra Acida before they moved to Dublin, Ireland and started playing acoustic sets at local pubs, defining their sound as they learned from from traveling musicians. I've seen these two at Central Park over the summer, they had a 3 hour set which was free, in the afternoon! beautiful day, too, so it was very relaxing. They're on an official tour, now, and i'm seeing them again in NYC on Oct. 19, for $30. In some venues, including NYC, they will be joined by a third guitarrist... Alex Skolnick from Testament!!  They have two albums out. I've heard their latest release, Self-titled, Rodrigo y Gabriela, and its beautiful, I went and bought it right away. They do a great cover of Stairway to Heaven, and just a good cover of Orion. Mr. T doesn't pity anyone who likes the Black Eyed Peas. He just kills them. Mr. T speaks only when necessary. His main form of communication is folding his arms and slowly shaking his head. And regardless of the situation, he is always understood. On the A-team, Face , Haniabal, and Murdoch were all masters of disguise. Mr T didn't have to wear a disguise. The bad guys didn't recognize him out of fear.
