Re: Rubens Barrichello's F2001

With the realism of those wheels, I half expected the first picture was of your finished model. Looking forward to more of this.

James, your work is fantastic! I've admired every WIP you have posted. What do you use for the lettering on the tires? The "LR", etc.

Thanks,

JB

As always, impressive start. Wheels look very realistic. I know the clear version has plated wheels, but what about these? What did you paint them with?

Any particular reason you're makeing Rubens vs. Schumi?

I think Rubens was on podium in this car, Shumi wasnt, plus everyone always makes a Shumi car lol.

for these I used some cool chrome/silver lacquer spray paint i found at canadian tire

Re: Rubens Barrichello's F2001

I love this car!
The race was won by Montoya and Barrichello came 2nd. Just keep that black nose semi-gloss black as it was sprayed straight over the normal red paint. Small chips at the end of the race exposed the red paint underneath.
Good luck with the build James!

Re: Rubens Barrichello's F2001

I finished up the gold and silver foil on the rear suspension, and painted the air intake
