broken hood release button
couple weeks ago my hood latch broke form the inside of the car. Bought a new one from auto zone but on chilton manual it says to run cable from inside out is there an easier way? I am just using plyers to open the cable. I was wondering if anybody else had this problem.
Thanks |

Re: broken hood release button
Your thread is titled "broken hood release button" but you're asking about replacing the cable, which one are you replacing? If you're replacing the release handle, it is replaced from inside the vehicle. If you're replacing the cable, it doesn't matter which end you start from.

Re: broken hood release button
On some model years, the cable and release handle are replaced individually. If the cable and release handle came as one piece, remove the old assembly and replace it from the inside out. Make sure the new cable is not kinked and the hood latch is working freely, and is adjusted properly.
